Gary Muson installed 2 air conditioners in my home 4 years ago. Now I signed up for annual maintenance Service. Chandler and Chad visited my home and did their part of the service. They told me that a capacitor in one of the air conditioners is weak and need to be changed but not immediately. He told the price would be $200 and I will get a 10% discount per maintenance program. I took a picture of the capacitor for my reference. I checked online and it costs $20. I feel this is price gouging. Why would they charge 10 times the actual price. That's why I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, they did a good job.
Upon a making a call on 6/15/2026 to Gary Munson Heating & Air Conditioning, Candice, dispatched Julio, who arrived at our home within a couple of hours. Julio took the time needed and made sure our Trane Air Conditioner system was operating properly and cooling our home as designed. With Central Florida's peak summer heat upon us and local weather now issuing extreme heat alert days, it's comforting to know our HVAC concerns were fully addressed. From our past experience and today was no different, this local, well-established family business is consistently professional, completely honest, highly reliable, prompt, and always courtesy. We know we can trust their recommendation(s), as demonstrated in the past and again just recently with AJ's correct diagnose, recommendation, and subsequent Trane system upgrade that immediately corrected a significant condensation issue.

We got a referral from a happy local business owner. Thank goodness - our problem is finally solved after 2 previous companies opinions were way off! The drain line was reverted through 2 walls and outside, a replacement unit sat lower. First co. said turn off switch broken ie the flooding out with use - but no diagnosis. The 2nd co. said the drain is slightly upward, 2 men labor for 2 days, to disassemble the unit and build the box up and reinstall - pricey - think about replacing the unit. I replied, couldn't you just drill 2 new holes, lower the pvc drain pipe and remastic the water damage?? My son said, shouldn't there be a pump for this? No response, and they said I would have to mastic myself. I had previously treated for the resulting mildew/mold under the box and stopped running the unit. Called "Munson" and explained to the nice lady the drains tilt upwards creating a larger issue - as previous companies called when told it was the drain, once diagnosed, didn't want to send a tech out. She sent their tech, Julio, a very nice man, who took a peak, asked if I would feel alright with adding a pump to fix the issue vs. redoing the pvc drain and relying on gravity only feed. No added holes in the walls and guaranteed emptying through the pump! Yes - abosolutely - and a fair price! He showed me how to maintain the pump, super easy - shop vac - and the noise level ( very low ). He was good with my little rescue barkers - left to pick up the part and returned promptly. Installed fresh mastic layer - then the pump - all included in the price. Super happy with the referral for Gary Munson given to my son - it gave me confidence to try another company! 3rd company was a charm for me! But not for you! Call Gary Munson Heating & AC company first for professional work, customer consideration and regained comfort!
I found Gary Munson after our other A/C company wanted to charge us three times the going rate for a warranty replacement and labor on coils that were leaking. It was easy to schedule an appointment with Gary Munson and Jamie was great to communicate with via email.
The tech showed up on time and got the work done in a reasonable time.
To follow back up for getting maintenance scheduled moving forward, I questioned if one of the parts that should be replaced with the coils was also replaced as it may go bad later. I was told it wasn't and they apologized and offered some options to make it right.
We opted to have the part replaced and was scheduled quickly. The tech (Gregory) showed up early within the window and was very kind. Since he is deaf, he communicated with his phone, showed me when he replaced the part and kept me updated with everything.
I appreciate a company that acknowledged their mishap and made it right.
